With a paid staff of just five and a volunteer board of up to twenty-five, you may ask how DAAC can successfully fulfill our mission.  The answer is volunteers, and we have numerous opportunities for volunteers at just about any commitment level. There are numerous volunteer opportunities at the Rio Grande Theatre:  gallery docents, ushers for Every Other Tuesday and DAAC-sponsored performances and helping with gallery receptions.  Please contact us for more information or download the volunteer form.

Children’s Programs

DAAC has a number of Children’s programs throughout the year including Missoula Children’s Theatre and the Saturday morning Magic Carpet StoryTime.  Ticket sellers/takers, program distributors, raffle supervisors, set-up or take-down help (or sometimes just to be an adult presence is all that is required) are all needed to make these programs run a bit more smoothly.

Other Events

Some of our events - such as the RGT’s Every Other Tuesday performances – need volunteers to sell tickets, perhaps supervise or assist with refreshments (including donating goodies or helping with set-up or clean-up), pass out programs, or usher folks to their seats after the lights go down (we provide the flashlights).

Other

Don’t see anything that appeals to you yet?  How about helping us fundraise by calling a few friends or assisting with a bulk mailing?  We sometimes have ongoing projects such as taking surveys.  Or maybe you just want to get out of the house for a while and do some filing or answer the phones?  If you have some time on your hands we can help find a way to occupy you.  It’s a great fun atmosphere for creative folks.
