Each year Dona Ana Arts Council honors individuals actively involved in promoting and enhancing the visual, performing and literary arts in our community through leadership, support and advocacy.  Nominations are solicited from the community at large and the awards are presented during the annual gala.

The 2009 Arts Awards Gala will be held Thursday, June 4th, at the Rio Grande Theatre. The theme for this year’s event is “A Night at the Theatre”, and the evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres and a no-host wine bar, continue with the award presentations and live entertainment on stage in the Theatre, and top off the night with desserts, coffee and complimentary champagne.  Tickets are $25 per person, $20 for seniors and students, in advance.  To purchase tickets, or for more information call the DAAC office at 523-6403.
