Operating the Rio Grande Theatre helps Dona Ana Arts Council to fulfill its mission – integrating all forms of art into the community.  The theatre is home to every Saturday “Magic Carpet Storytime”, Every Other Tuesday free performances, the Drama Group on alternate Tuesdays, Missoula Children’s Theatre each June, and the annual Community Arts Awards Gala. In addition, DAAC hosts the monthly “First Friday Downtown Arts Ramble in the theatre lobby and Art Galleries, and showcases local poets and writers during that event at its Literary Open Mic in the theatre.
