Rio Grande Theatre StageThe historic Rio Grande Theatre is located in the heart of Downtown Las Cruces, New Mexico. Originally built in 1926 as a movie theatre, it has been completely renovated and re-opened in 2005 as a state-of-the-art performing arts center. The building is operated by Dona Ana Arts Council, a 501©3 non-profit corporation.

The Rio Grande Theatre is a 422-seat performing arts facility with a forty-foot fly loft, dressing rooms, digital projector, sound and lighting equipment, acoustical panels, refrigerated air, a refurbished lobby, and gallery spaces. Upstairs are the offices of Dona Ana Arts Council. With all the feel of a 1920’s movie house, the building offers patrons a unique entertainment experience.

The theatre is available for rentals. Please contact David Edwards, Theatre Manager, at 575-523-6403 or davide@daarts.org.
